The End of Newt Gingrich?

I had him as a frontrunner for 2012, despite the skeletons in his closet.  Also, there were rumors of a possible RNC Chairmanship.  I always knew (I've read a few of his books) he was a devout Chrisitan and believed in a strong, Christian nation, but I never thought I'd hear this from a man I consider briliant: 

I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I think it is prepared to use the government if it can get control of it. I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion.

So, this may not be the end of Newt Gingrich, but for me it is.
